01
It’s Faster to Install

QUIKBATT'N is extremely light weight with 61 lineal meters weighing just 19kgs and can be positioned by one person in a single lift. Timber in comparison weighs up to 53kgs per 61 lineal meters and thus would require a minimum of 3 lifts.

For an average sized roof this equates to a total lift weight of approximately 250kgs compared to 700kgs if using timber battens. This has obvious impacts on speed of install and efficiency and in addition improves on site OH&S. It also reduces stress on truss design.

QUIKBATT'N features a rippled flange and allows trades to use traditional Paslode or similar first fix framing gun and 75mm D head nails so no need to purchase additional tools.

The safe and simple connection to hips and valleys reduces the number of cuts and connections. Joins can also be lapped without the need for cutting and joining with obvious benefits to speed, efficiency and significantly reduced waste.

02
It’s Straighter

Unlike timber, QUIKBATT'N is manufactured from TRUECORE® steel and is straight and true. It is free from weak spots and warping.

The product can be stored for long periods of time without the risk of twisting or warping as a result of atmospheric moisture, heat and cold. If extra batten is supplied to the job site, don’t waste it in a bin simply take with you for your next job.

Achieve perfectly straight roof lines every time with the straight edge for nesting of concrete tile lug.

03
It’s Stronger

TRUECORE® high tensile light gauge steel used in the QUIKBATT'N product is naturally lighter and stronger than the timber alternative and the system has been engineered to support required weights.

There are no inherent natural weaknesses in the QUIKBATT'N product such as knots allowing your trades to safely lay tiles and tiles can be stored on the roof mid-span without the risk of ‘weak spots’ giving way and breaking.

QUIKBATT'N works as a system with the valley receiver supports. The receiver allows for the batten to be supported, enabling the tiler to safely position themselves and the tiles in the valleys.

04
It's Longer

The battens are available in 6100mm lengths minimising the need for cuts and joins resulting in far less waste compared to timber. Also saves significant time on long roof sections which can simply be overlapped and fixed directly to the truss.

Each 6.1m length only weighs 1.9kg so is safe and easy to manoeuvre on the roof.
